Anonymous asked: what would you do if you knew you could have any job/career/life in the world?

that’s a really awesome question that i’m still trying to figure out.

as for my career, i definitely want to help people in some way. right now, my goal is to either go into behavioral neuroscience or neurology. or possibly be a therapist. but those goals keep changing, all in the same kind of area, but i’m confused. i’m just so interested in so many things and they’re all very specific majors. ideally, i’ll have a job that i don’t dread to go to, that isn’t the typical 9-5 grind, that i enjoy and that is helping someone, somehow. and hopefully, i don’t have to hide my scars forever. that’s a major concern of mine in the professional world.

my life…i want the typical stuff. i want to be happy with someone that i love, possibly, SLIGHTLY POSSIBLY, a kid or two if i end up being able to have them someday. i don’t want white picket fences or anything, i just want to feel at home wherever i am. and if i ever have money, i want to have EXPERIENCES, not things. i want to go to disney again, travel a bit, go sky diving. i don’t want to die with a lot of THINGS to give away… i want to pass away having told all of my amazing stories to my kids or grandkids or neighborhood kids. they’d know i’d lived.

that’s probably a lot more long-winded of an answer than you were looking for, but it’s something i’ve thought about a lot, lately.
